Dope Or Nope Returns!

After a long time of no activity, I have decided to reopen this blog for readers. Despite previous disputes with myself about the issue concerning too many websites with better quality that offer the same services as Dope Or Nope, I have decided to put all of that aside, and go ahead and go forth with writing on this blog. In other news I will not be writing a review on League of Legends, due to complications, I have decided to continue to  review the Immortals saga, then I may or may not return to League of Legends.. In any event, I will be writing reviews on this blog again and frequently, I'm also thinking about adding gameplay videos of the games I review, perhaps...

Thanks for Reading!

Dragons of Atlantis Review

Dragons of Atlantis is a 2D RTS (Real-Time Strategy) game published by Kabam. Dragons of Atlantis is a game where you are building an empire (which is based on Dragons) the whole game is based on gaining power through the use of mythical military force/gaining resources. This game is unlike anything I have ever played, while I have had my own taste of the RTS genre, I have never played a game where the prosperity of your empire depended upon a dragon. This game  "had me nonstop thinking about the game, I 'lost my mind' "

This is the dragons keep (my dragon is no longer this low-leveled, so don't attempt to attack my empire.) This dragon is what determines the prosperity of your kingdom, I'm not actually sure if you lose the game if your dragon is killed, or what. But, I would avoid losing your dragon at all costs.

This is one of the main game-inerfaces, (a lot of interfaces I didn't get screen shots of, sorry.) This interface displays, the name of your empire in my case I named my empire 'Atlantis' and your level and the power that comes with that level.
The buttons that say 'Map','Field','City','Sanctuary',and 'Empire'
display areas on the map where you can browse other kindoms, or build places to gather resources 'Farms' and 'Mines' and 'Quarries' are the three main resource gathering buildings.

This is the resources screen, which displays how much of a certain resource (and currecy, in the case of Dragons of Atlantis gold.) Along with Alliances, and Trades and the Leader Boards.

I have also decided to add this video to my media associated with DoA (Dragons of Atlantis) This is the official game-trailer for Dragons of Atlantis.

This game is DOPE is was completely engulfed in the gameplay when I began this game, after this article I may still be active on the game, however I am still a very loyal player to another game, which will get a review eventually. This game is definitely a good game and worthy of the rating: DOPE this game does have a in-game currency which is available for purchase using real-life money, ('Rubies') but apart from that, and the long building-wait times, this game is a full-proof.

Battle of the Immortals Review

Battle of the Immortals (also referred to as BoI) is a 2.5D Fantasy MMORPG published by Perfect World Entertainment. In Battle of the Immortals there are a total of six playable classes.

One of these playable classes is the Berzerker,  which as perfectworld puts it
"Berserkers are made for frontline, melee damage. Berserkers wear light armor, giving them mobility and decent defense against physical damage. They are, however, susceptible to magic damage. Berserkers plunge headfirst into fights, weapons drawn, with abilities that can weaken or slow their many opponents."

This was the same class I chose when I went through my stage of obsession in this game back in late 2011.

Following the Berzerker, is the Champion, Champions as perfectworld describes
"Champions are the frontline defense and are essential members of a party. Champions focus primarily on being the center of any fight. They use Ice and Light powers to taunt their foes and strengthen their defenses, while weakening the opponent’s offenses. Champions are invaluable tanks."

Champions are the tanking class, although I never had an opportunity to play as this class (as I was too busy leveling by Berzerker.)

Then there is the Heretic, the main Healer class (or in Dungeon Terms HPS) they can also deal damage, so its sort of a hybrid class of a regular ranged-dps or hps.. depending on the persons role in the group.

"Champions are the frontline defense and are essential members of a party. Champions focus primarily on being the center of any fight. They use Ice and Light powers to taunt their foes and strengthen their defenses, while weakening the opponent’s offenses. Champions are invaluable tanks."

Following is the Magus, the main spellcaster class, dealing Ranged-DPS. As usual having an advantage over the melee classes such as the (Champions and Berzerkers.)

"Magi have mastered the arts of the arcane and elemental, wielding deadly magic’s to create destruction and chaos. From a distance, their offensive abilities are simply unmatched. They are the masters of crowd control and snaring, controlling the battlefield as they see fit. Many of the Magi’s powers are focused on AoE (Area of Effect) skills, which allow them to battle many opponents at a time."

Following the Magus, is the Slayer class another Melee/Mage-DPS class as PWE Writes:

"Slayers train in the deadly arts of precision and accuracy, aiming to inflict heavy damage while taking as little as possible. Slayers have mastered the arts of poisons and magic’s, giving them a balanced physical and magical offense. Though their defenses can be somewhat lacking, their offensive capability is almost unparalleled."

Last a most certainly not Least, is the Summoner, this class was not in the original version of the game it was added in an expansion called "The Guardians of Fate" along with a newly improved Atlantis (which is the home setting throughout the game)
PWE WRITES:

"Having an innate ability to control the very energy around them, the Summoner is a force to be reckoned with. By harnessing this power they are able to summon great spirits to do their bidding. With immeasurable power at their fingertips underestimating them would be a grave mistake. While both magically and physically capable, the Summoner uses both traits to inflict maximum damage."

These are the six playable classes that are featured in Battle of the Immortals, my personal opinion on this game is that it is DOPE this game is highly addictive, within the first couple of weeks that I originally played this game, there was "No such thing, as sleep." I played until all hours of the night. Despite the games immersive game-play there were some cons, that ended in my quitting of the game. The cons include, Bugs that the company Perfect World Entertainment (PWE) wouldn't fix in any of the patches. The difficulty of finding a party for doing Events. The money it required.

This MMO is a Free-to-play game, however there is an in-game cash shop, where you purchase an in-game currency called ZEN you would then use ZEN to purchase items in the cash shop, and these items practically where the rarest items in the game.. another major con was the difficulty of making money. In Battle of the Immortals, you make money by selling items in a personalized shop called a "Vend".

However, other than the cons, the game is an amazing experience, and if you are a fan of mythology and lore, you will definitely enjoy this game. This game is by-far DOPE if these con's where nonexistant I would still be playing. However, if you have a lot of spare cash, and can handle some minor bugs, and challenges in getting into parties, and making money, the this game is for you..
